If you need to replace one swing away footrest the manufacturer will only sell you both (left and right) for $239 plus tax and shipping. My brother lost the left swing away foot rest on his S-ERGO115F18RS wheelchair. The company will not … More replace just one footrest, and the high cost for replacing these simple swing away footrests is exorbitant.

Lt-980- If you're looking for comfortable wheelchairs this is not the one to choose. I give it two stars because it is very uncomfortable and I am constantly touching the bars below the seat. Do not buy this product!!!

We are very pleased with the Karman 802-DY wheelchair. We keep it in the car and use it for outings. This comfortable chair is light enough to easily store and retrieve from the car and is sturdy enough for the repeated handling. The … More hard-rubber tires allow it to roll smoothly and easily over all surfaces and I have no problems maneuvering it wherever I go.

I ordered this chair for my boyfriend who has MS. It is well made. Very sturdy. I ordered anti tippers but Never got them with the chair. I sent an email but haven't heard from them. But you will love how well made it is.. Here are … More a couple of pics. The arm rest covers don't come with it.

LT-700T feedback:A good priced entry-level wheel chair.I think this chair has as much plastic as steel, but seems very sturdy. This helps it be lightweight. They should smooth out the touch sharp edges on the mag wheels and hand rim, at … More the factory, in my opinion… they are sharp enough to cause issues with fingers. Another improvement would be on the plastic footrests … very sharp edges and bottoms… have nicked myself several times getting in and out the chair: how about some felt on the footrest bottoms? From the factory, the brake push handles were too tight too, so I found the 10mm adjustment bolt and took care of that. One week later:The plastic wheels near the hub and bearing started creaking, squeaking… loudly. I put the wheelchair on it’s side and spinning the wheel reproduced the same sound, right along 4 or 5 of the mag wheel spokes. Took off the bearing cap and sprayed in some WD-40, let it sit for several hours. Spun the wheel and still squeaked, with chair laying on its side. Put the bearing cap back on and rolled chair around … squeak gone. (Weird.) But I figure that the lubricant will dry up and squeak will return. Called tech support and sent them a video of the squeak. They are sending me a replacement wheel(s)? once I install, I will update this post …

I decided to spring for a quality wheelchair. Most of the transport chairs I use end up falling apart in one year so I was on the hunt for a good wheelchair that would withstand and feel comfortable. After many days of researching wheelchairs, … More watching Youtube reviews, and reading online articles, I wound up at Karmen Healthcare. Huge selection of wheelchairs but I decided to go with the ergo 115. Been very happy with my purchase -- the ride is smooth and the seat is very comfortable, as advertised. I also ordered the raised footrests as an add-on and they work wonderfully. very excited to use this chair when I go out.

I was searching for a wheelchair for partial use as I can still walk short time and/or distance, but start to get weak when it comes to long walk and/or distance. I looked around pros and cos of different styles, mainly about how they fold … More and the type of tires, I made my choice to get a light weight, with outdoor tires and that easily fold for transport as I don't use it full time. I browsed hundred of models and some brands, reading reviews to have an idea of what to expect and to choose wisely.I eventually came around Karman brand in my search, I loved how the chairs has a pretty design, some color choices, but as well how it matched everything I was looking for (as stated above). The price was a down side, it's hard to afford, thought quality come with a cost. I eventually had the benefit of a nice discount and took the opportunity to order it.When the box get in, I was surprised by how light it is! Of course I knew I ordered a ligjtweight wheelchair, but didn't expected it to be so true to its name. The wheelchair is light, confortable and easy to move around, even for a beginner wheelchair user like me. The removable padding is a bit thin, but still comfortable. My only complain is that one of the feet rest is cracked already, right out of the box.

Sent 2-3 messages to customer support but no answer. I wanted a wheelchair axle assembly. No parts list show it. An no answer from customer service. So, I bought a new wheelchair an it isn’t a karman. Will tell all my friends never buy … More a karman no service thanks alot

I have been buying a wheelchair every year for the past 6 yrs because I live a very busy lifestyle and it's cheaper to purchase a new chair than individual parts, the S shape is so comfortable and it glides with ease...BUT, the name … More absolutely sucks. It has KARMA written all over it and I'm a high school teacher and it's the first thing my students notice, I thought you are KARMAN healthcare?? It's bothered me for years, I believe it was time to say something. Plus the serpent on the box for your logo picture didn't go undetected either

DANGEROUS. WORST WHEELCHAIR I EVER OWN! I paid over $900 on Amazon for an Ergo Light. Within 9 months the brake handle fell off. Next the brake lever started bending and then the metal sheered off. The left braking mechanism was dysfunctional. … More I contacted Karman customer service. After numerous emails back and forth providing ownership KARMAN offered to send me a replacement lever. I asked KARMAN for installation instructions and/or any necessary hardware to fix the brake. KARMAN’S answer was NO to both. KARMAN said they would expedite shipping. I am on day 7 and it has not arrived. I am 67 and crippled with rheumatoid arthritis. My wheelchair is my mobility. What am I to do with a dangerously broken one. Just who is suppose to dismantle the braking system and install a new one? KARMAN wheelchairs are cheaply made. KARMAN customer service is nonexistent. AVOID KARMAN WHEELCHAIRS. Now I’m out $900 and left with a faulty wheelchair.

Just received our Ergo Flight Wheel chair and it meets all of our expectations. Easy to fold-up and it's light weight makes it easy to store in our vehicle. My wife is small, 5'2" & 99 lbs. so the 16" x 17" … More seat is ideal for her. The design and quality of manufacture is impressive. We particularly like the brake controls on the handles as this allows for greater control when going down steep inclines.
  • earthhouse2 ★★★★ a year ago
Great pricing on some of the lightest weight wheelchairs on market today. They actually cheaper than Medicare approved medical supply companies who rip off taxpayers by charging impotent government 3X-4X more for same product. If you … More need a quality wheelchair at a fair price, you can't go wrong with Karman.
  • Ann Siljegovich ★★★★ 2 years ago
I bought a lightweigh wheelchair so my family wouldn't have so much weight to put in the car. I like it just fine, except for one thing.I am old and my skin is thin. Wheeling the chair is tearing into my skin on my hands. I use gloves, … More but I have to keep putting them on and off.I wonder if the company couldn't pad the wheel some way.
  • Laura Ruff ★★★★★ 2 years ago
I really like this wheelchair- it's comfortable, the wheels are comfortable and easy, comfortable to use when moving around. Ultra light weight. My PT commented how light it was- and he helps many people with wheelchairs. (He is … More not the only therapist to comment on that). Great price. I have a mother wheel. chair, but the Ergo has a sterner back. But it is comfortable back support that makes it a pleasure to sit in. My other. wheelchair I needed to have a pillow or something put in back for lumbar support. The only thing I really need is the left foot pedal to sit out farther for me. Overall high reviews for this wheelchair!
  • Sheri Ray ★★★★ 2 years ago
Love this super light wheelchair. Easy for travel of any kind. Had to buy soft covers for footrests because while convenient in place, started to hurt feet after lifting them several times. Hard plastic is sturdy but not very forgiving … More on footrests. Name on back of chair apparently not considered. Says “karma”…,,I hardly think appropriate for my disability.,

Had mult questions prior to ordering and each phone call to Karman I made I ran into informative and helpful individuals. They answered all my questions and made me very comfortable in placing an on line order. The wheelchair arrived faster … More than I was expecting and my husband and I are very happy with the quality of the wheelchair and the weight. I would highly recommend this company.

After several tries on other web sites we hit on AQHP. The service was great right from the start. I talked to Cindy EXT.205. Cindy did a fabulous job walking me through the ordering process. Thank you Cindy!I live in Canada, 8 days after … More the order, we now have the wheelchair. Looks excellant, every thing is there, and I had it put together in about 2 hours.Thank you Karman and American Quality Health Products.

What an amazing company. We received our wheelchair but because it was upgraded, the hardware was inadvertently missed. Emailed company and got a response within a couple of hours . We are on the East Coast. Amber was truly awesome. Understood … More the product and knew immediately what occurred. Her response time was fantastic and she resolved our problem promptly. Could not have asked for better customer service. They are fortunate to have her working for them. We are extremely satisfied with our product and highly recommend them for any medical purchases.

We recently purchased a Karman 12" Rear Wheel Transport Chair for our family relative and I can firmly say this is one of the best foldable transport chair in it's class. Sure there are other brands selling similarities but this … More is the real deal. The package came well packed and the instructions were very clear and to the point. The build quality of the chair is study, firm and well put together and I would have no hesitation recommending others to purchase this chair. We got the blue color and the chair was exactly as depicted. Thank you Karman Chair!

We got a Karman S-Ergo 115 for my wife. I really appreciate that it is so much lighter than the much heavier wheelchairs that others offered to us. Ten pounds doesn't matter much if you are just rolling it around, but if you lift … More it in and out of a car, it matters a lot. So far, this hasn't needed any maintenance, and I hope and expect that to remain the case. I highly recommend it.

As my dad's caregiver, I needed a lightweight wheelchair that I could use with him anytime we were away from his retirement community. After researching several different types of wheelchairs, I ordered the LT-980. I received it … More yesterday, and I'm impressed with the build quality and all of the features that make it portable and easy to transport. Having experience with heavier wheelchairs a long time ago, the LT-980 is a great chair for anyone needing something lighter. Sadly, my dad passed away recently before he had a chance to use it, but I like it and I'm going to keep it for future use with other family members who may have a need.

Purchased the Karman 19" Steel Transport Chair w/ removable armrests. The transport chair is easy to push and fits through regular doorways. The arm rest(s) are easy to remove if needed. Can remove the leg rests or swing them to the … More sides (they won't stay in place unless they are in the front, but that's an easy fix with Velcro strap). The seat has a thin cushion. There's a belt attached to secure the person in the chair. The wheels roll easily on hardwood, tile & carpet. This transport chair is easy to fold for storage. (cat approved!)

This is our first Karmen wheelchair and so far it's been really good. We are using it as a transitional chair to get my husband out of his power wheelchair. It's very light weight, easy to fold and fit in the back of my SUV. … More My husband says it's fairly comfortable for shorter sit times, he is very used to being "very secure" in his power chair so he's still adjusting but thinks it will be a great chair in the long run! Very quick shipping, everything went very smoothly when ordering too!

Karma was what we were looking for, a lightweight chair my daughter could put in car easily when she had to take me somewhere as I don’t drive 82 and right leg above knee amputated. The lady my son talked to was very nice and helpful. Didn’t … More take long to get delivered. And easy directions to put together. Little to do from directions and mostly done already. Really great people to work with. Thank you so much.

Just received the aluminum 24 lbs wheelchair for my petite, elderly mother with parkinsons to use. Appears to be as advertised, looking forward to delivering it to her in her assisted living residence tomorrow. Ordered via Amazon, received … More the correct model, not the correct color. Disappointed that the burgundy colored chair was not what arrived, but we added some ribbons so she'll recognize which chair is hers. Hoping she'll get lots of use out of it.
  • Rodger Gerzema ★★★★ 4 years ago
Loved the lightweight chair. Would prefer rubber wheels and not hard plastic. They leave Mark's on cushioned tiled floors. Overall an excellent choice for transport.
  • Ashleigh Pasley ☆☆☆☆ 4 years ago
Poor customer service. Chair not adjustable, unable to get a callback from company for help less than a year ago, when my patient bought it (I'm a therapist in a nursing home.) He paid over $1,000.00 out of pocket for this chair. Now, … More with average use and less than a year later, the front wheels are shredding and falling apart. It is not usable, and the best Karma can offer my patient is "here's the item number, order them at $100.00 for a pair." Pitiful. What kind of wheelchair company treats people like this. Poor constructed chair, and once they have your money, they're done with you. Beware!

The investment you make today will last you a lifetime. For instance, if you choose a low seat height, you can’t choose large wheels as the wheels will affect the seat height. For individuals with limited mobility, a manual chair is an essential piece of equipment to enhance their quality of life and provide freedom of movement. In the past, wheelchairs were heavy and cumbersome for users as well as caregivers and often lacked maneuverability. Today, thanks to advances in manufacturing and design, users no longer need to be competitive body builders to lift a wheelchair up a flight of stairs or into a car trunk. We have many intelligently designed wheelchairs on the market that are suited for wheelchair-bound individuals. We try to use aircraft grade aluminum on all of our products. Using a light material helps ease the weight of the frame. Our lower priced models may have a combination of steel and aluminum. But our best wheelchairs are made from aluminum. How does the user perform daily activities? Is the user independent? We have wheelchairs made for active users both young and old. All age groups may use manual chairs. It is important to first use a measurement guide. A Proper fit is the most important factor when buying a wheelchair. A mobility chair should be an extension of a person’s body. Then we focus on comfort. Is the person now comfortable? Is there proper ergonomics? Is the person prone to slouching? Just like a normal person sitting on a desk at an office.  Proper ergonomics are very important. After we have narrowed down those things, it’s easier. We can then ask what products offer more benefits? Is there a lighter model? Or does the customer wish to save some money? Some manual chairs are only temporarily used. Having a canopy or headrest does add cost.  But at the same time, it makes your ride more comfortable. That’s important to us. To find the perfect fit for you. Some users want a softer ride.
