Epilepsy
It occurs as a result of electrical signals being sent in the brain, which causes an overload that results in ongoing seizures. People with epilepsy vary in symptoms, some people who suffer this illness just stare blankly during a seizure, and others have violent convulsions as a result.
It is estimated that 1 in 100 people in the US will experience a seizure some time during their life. Even when a person has a mild seizure it is recommended that they seek treatment in the case that it could be epilepsy.
