Man Pretending To Be Wheelchair-Bound Steals a Rolex

Police in Connecticut are searching for man who robbed a jewelry store while pretending to be wheelchair-bound over the weekend.

The incident happened at the Samford Town Center mall on Saturday.

Authorities say the suspect propelled himself into the Sidney Thomas Jewelry Store started looking at Rolex watches. He then slipped one onto his wrist, pushed an employee and security guard down and sprayed them with pepper spray.

The whole incident was caught on video surveilance and authorities are looking for any tips that may lead to the arrest of this thief, who not only lied but also used a wheelchair to mask that he was able to walk, which is pretty much the lowest type of theft I have ever heard of.

He then ran out of the store, leaving his wheelchair and a Fedora hat behind.

The stolen watch is valued at $25,000.
