This HCPCS class includes a bigger selection of chairs compared to K3 Wheelchairs, they also include a higher amount of options and movable components. Most commonly chairs in this class come in a 14”, 16”, 18” seat width. The weight class is also different from any other HCPCS class, chairs in this class weigh less than 34 pounds without leg rests.

K0004 wheelchairs are designed for users who cannot propel the weight of standard and light wheelchairs due to upper and lower weakness in their limbs. Chair dimensions and adjustments have a higher capacity than K3 chairs.
