If you are trying to get a wheelchair out of a storage space, you have to be very careful so as to not damage the frame during the process. The chair frame can be scratched or dented, and the upholstery can be ruined if it meets a sharp object.

You always want to know that when you stored the wheelchair, you were mindful that you would need to remove it at some point as well. To avoid certain headaches of removing the chair from the space, you should always store it while it is completely foldable and that you covered it with some type of surface material to avoid scratching the frame.

If the storage space is elevated past eye level, it may be wise to ask for help from someone who is tall enough to reach the chair without causing an accident. A taller person or a small step-ladder would be the most ideal when trying to reach for something in a storage space.
